Families Forward

Outcomes

In the past year, we served over 9,000 individuals.

Transitional Housing

The Transitional Housing Program is a comprehensive system to help families move from crisis to stability and self-sufficiency.  Our twenty-five single-family units are scattered throughout the community and provide a stable, secure home for an average of twelve months.  During their time with us, each family works one-on-one with a trained case manager to determine their strengths, overcome obtacles, and set and meet goals.

  • 29 families served, including 45 children.
  • 88% of the families that graduated this year achieved self-sufficiency.

Homeless Prevention Program

Intending to prevent homelessness from happening in the first place, Families Forward offers a comprehensive array of homeless prevention services that target families who are severely at-risk of becoming homeless and assists them in making lasting life changes to becoming truly self-sufficient.  Through the case management approach, counselors work closely with each family to provide the resources, counseling, and support to keep them in their home.
