Do you remember that end of summer feeling with "Back to School" signs on every store window? Having those new supplies in your hand the first day of school made it fun to go back to school. This year, we invite you to give a low-income child that same opportunity by participating in our Back to School Program.
In 2010, we were able to provide backpacks and school supplies to over 1,000 local students.
Every summer, Families Forward partners with National Charity League and others in the community to build and distribute backpacks filled with school supplies to local low-income elementary, middle, and high school students. Donated new, grade appropriate school supplies and backpacks are distributed to students, helping them start off on the same foot as their peers and building their confidence for the coming school year.
