Families without housing are particularly at-risk during the COVID-19 outbreak. Families Forward continues to provide housing and supportive services for this vulnerable population without interruption through online, teleconference and over-the-phone service. Additionally, we have set up drive-thru food assistance, with proper distancing and sanitization protocol, Monday-Thursday 10am-2pm, no appointment needed. Since March 16, we have seen a 325% increase in food assistance requests and we know that need will continue during these uncertain times.
How You Can Help
Donate today to provide food to those in need and sustain critical programs, keeping families safe and housed during this crisis.
The CARES Act raises the charitable deduction* limit from 60 percent to 100 percent of adjusted gross income for itemizers, and non-itemizers can now deduct up to $300 in charitable giving. C-Corporations can also deduct 25 percent of their taxable income, rather than 10 percent.
Food donations are needed now more than ever. You can purchase any brand or quantity of our most needed food pantry items at online retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Wal-Mart, Target or Boxed.com and have items shipped directly to our Program Center at 8 Thomas, Irvine, CA 92618. At this time, in-person food donations can be dropped off at our pantry Monday-Thursday between 10:00am and 2:00pm. If you are unable to drop off during these days/hours, please contact Mike Lopez at 949-716-5862 or firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a time when we can ensure a staff person is able to assist you.
Please drive through on the left lane – the right lane is for food assistance pick-up only.
