Families Forward offers supportive services that help families strengthen their emotional well-being, build job skills, and move toward long-term stability. Our counseling and career services are available to families with minor-aged children who are participating in our Housing Program.
Supportive Counseling & Mental Health Services
If you are a current Housing Program client and would like to access counseling, please contact your case manager. Services are offered at no cost to eligible families.
How Can Counseling Help My Family?
Our counseling services focus on helping families navigate challenges, build resilience, and move forward in a positive direction. Counselors work with parents, caregivers, and children to support emotional health and family relationships.
What We Offer
- Solution-focused counseling that helps clients work through emotional obstacles and take clear next steps.
- Short-term individual, couples, and family counseling for personal and interpersonal concerns.
- Bilingual support available in most languages.
- Group counseling options, as needed, to support shared learning and connection.

Appointments are available Monday–Friday, times may vary.
How Do I Get Started?
Counseling is by referral only. Please speak with your case manager to be connected to
our counseling services.
If You Are Not a Housing Client
Families Forward is not able to offer counseling services to community members who are not currently
enrolled in our Housing Program. For community mental health resources, please contact:

Career Services
Families Forward’s Career Services support Housing Program clients as they search for employment, prepare for new opportunities, and work toward greater financial stability.
How Can Career Services Help Me?
Career coaching is designed to help you feel more confident and prepared in your job search. Together, we will focus on your strengths and goals so you can take the next step in your career.
What We Offer
- One-on-one career coaching tailored to your interests and experience.
- Support with job searches and online applications.
- Help preparing or updating résumés and cover letters.
- Interview preparation and practice.
- Guidance on workplace expectations and long-term career planning.

Career Services are available to Housing Program clients who are working toward employment and increased income for their families.

Additional career resources may also be available through partner agencies. Your case manager can work with you to find the supports that best fit your needs.
