Families Forward’s mission is to support Orange County families to prevent and end family homelessness. Please see below or call Families Forward at (949) 552-2727 to determine if you should be connected with Families Forward for support. The level of support that we may assist a family with is determined based on the family’s eligibility and other circumstances. Depending on your family’s situation, you may be connected to another partner organization who is better equipped to meet your needs. Below is more information on which organization you may be referred to for help:

If you are not located in Orange County, CA:

Please call 2-1-1 to be connected to services and resources local to you.

If you are located in Orange County, CA, are currently housed AND have children under 18 in your household:

To be currently housed means:

  • You are living in your own apartment/house, including if you are facing an eviction
  • You are living in someone else’s apartment/house
  • You are living in a motel that you pay for by yourself

If you cannot click on the button or provide us your information online, please call Families Forward at (949) 552-2727 and a volunteer will fill out this form with you. Once you have provided us your contact information, you will receive an email by the end of the day (or the following business day) with a link to an Eligibility Request Form. You will be contacted within 3-5 business days by a Families Forward staff member once you have completed the Eligibility Request Form.

If you are located in Orange County, CA and do not meet the above eligibility:

This could mean that you are:

  • You are in a home without children under 18 OR
  • You are homeless, with or without children under 18
    • To be homeless means:
      • You are living in a motel that is paid for by an agency
      • You are living in a shelter or transitional housing
      • You are living in a residential garage or shed
      • You are living in a car, recreational vehicle, trailer, etc.
      • You are currently in a substance abuse treatment program
      • You are living living outdoors

Emergencies can happen to anyone: a death in the family, a loss of a job, an illness, or a divorce can be devastating, both emotionally and financially. Our goal is to prevent the fear and hopelessness that can occur as a result of a crisis, and ensure that the children’s welfare and stability are protected as much as possible.
